Recently, Year 6 enjoyed their day at Crucial Crew. They had the opportunity to take part in a range of interactive scenarios relating to keeping safe. The sessions were run in collaboration with South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Road Safety Team. The children learnt about what to do in case of a house fire, how to be safe on the bus, how to cross the road safely and the consequences of making hoax emergency service call. The children even got to take part in a magistrate court with real magistrates. South Yorkshire Police ran scenarios for the children related to knife crime, hate crime and child criminal exploitation. Take a look at the photos to find out more.
