The second half of Autumn term we have continued to work hard. Below is a small selection of what we have learnt about. History – Maya civilisation We’ve studied the regions where the Maya lived, timeline of the period and some of the significant influences they have had on our lives.   D & T – sewing pencil cases The unit was about designing, sewing and decorating a pencil case with a fastening. Maths – Bar model We have used the bar model to help us solve maths problems. Writing – Narrative Writing We wrote horror narrative extracts linked to Cogston House and used AI to create an image of our descriptions.     Computing – Websites We designed our own websites.  Science – Light and Electricity We studied how light and electricity work, the people who discovered and explained key ideas and we use them today.
PE – Gymnastics We created and performed a series of gymnastic movements (canon, unison, mirror) to a piece of music (Bohemian Rhapsody). Oh and we completed many jigsaws. Here is our Harry Potter 1000 piece jigsaw .
