Wellgate Curriculum Overview
Religious Education:
R.E is planned using the Barnsley Local Agreed Syllabus. It sets out the 6 key questions that we aim to answer in school
Q1 Why are these words special?
Q2 Why are some places special?
Q3 How can faith contribute to community cohesion
Q4 Why are some times special?
Q5 What can be learned from the lives of significant people of faith.
Q6 How do I and others feel about life and the universe around us?
Each year group has a set of objectives which were also supplied by SACRE.
Clubs outside of the school day: this document shows some of the clubs which we run at Wellgate Primary School outside of set learning hours (8:40-12:00 and 1:00-3:05). We realise that we have a wealth of children with different strengths, needs and abilities and these clubs give the children chance to learn new things, excel in areas and spend time with adults around school that they might not normally have the chance to do.
