Mrs Bedford - Teaching Assistant
I’m incredibly organised and determined – this helps me thoroughly in my role as a teaching assistant. I’ve worked hard to achieve the qualifications that I have and that is something that I’m really proud of – I’m able to share my work ethic and thirst for knowledge with the children which I work with whilst supporting them in being successful in their learning. I really enjoy seeing children achieve their milestones. I love reading and being with my family. I would really like to learn more about science and one day, I would really like to be able to speak Spanish. I think Manchester is an exciting city and if my family weren’t close by, that is somewhere I would like to live. My favourite ice-cream flavour is chocolate and I love eating this when I visit the cinema.
Mrs Eaton - Teaching Assistant I absolutely love my job – it brings a smile to my face every single day. I love working with children and supporting them in everything that they do. I’m often told that I’m an incredibly kind and caring person and I believe that this helps me in the job that I do. I have two daughters who I’m incredibly proud of. I love spending time with them and my husband in Scotland which is my favourite place on the planet and it also sells the most amazing ice – cream (Cream O’Galloway Chocolate Orange). I didn’t used to enjoy doing maths but Mrs Woodcock has changed that and I absolutely love it now. I really enjoy supporting children in their maths learning – especially those who find it tricky as I understand how they might be feeling. My favourite ever children’s book is ‘Peace At Last’ which is about a family of bears.
Miss Hough - Teaching Assistant Hello, my name is Miss Hough and I am one of the teaching assistants in Year 5. I enjoy making a difference in a child's life in a different way, helping encourage interests in art, crystals and rock minerals and animals. I love to learn about the world around us and how to improve my own skills. I like to learn arty things, herbs and plants and trees - their names, uses etc. I love to draw and read - two of my favourite books are Call of the Wild by Jack London, and also his book White Fang, because it tells the story from an animal's point of view. I love happy electro-pop 80s music like Smalltown Boy, Don't You Want Me Baby, Don't Go Breaking My Heart - and lots of heavy rock music!
