Mrs C Egginton |
Hello my name is Mrs Egginton and I am proud to be the Headteacher of Wellgate Primary School. This year I have started my tenth year as part of Team Wellgate and I am looking forward to welcoming and getting to know our new families this year.
If I had to describe myself in three words it would be positive, caring and bothered. This also links with what I enjoy most about Education - the positive impact it can have on a child’s life. A good school experience can change the lives and expand horizons for the young people it serves, seeing this is the most amazing thing ever. I also love to see the uniqueness of every child and how they grow and change over their time in Primary School. I feel so proud when they leave Wellgate at Year 6, ready to fly and take on the next stage in their lives. Team Wellgate work extremely hard to ensure that learning is exciting, fun and memorable. Whatever our role in school and however old we may be we are all learners. I enjoy learning new things especially anything practical, I learn through doing and hands on…I have recently enjoyed learning to Paddle Board this summer, although it is so much harder than it looks! I would love to learn how to plaster a wall…random but true! When I am not working my hobbies include, shopping…for shoes, reading and being in the great outdoors. I nearly forgot my seasonal hobby, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’! I am really looking forward to this year and wish everyone at Wellgate Good Luck for the 2022 – 2023 school year! |
Mrs K Richardson |
Hello, I am Mrs Richardson and I am proud to say that I am the Deputy Head and Senco of Wellgate Primary School. I have worked in our school since 2007 and have taught in most year groups, my favourite being Year 6. I love my job and feel privileged to work alongside the children and families of our school community, to help them to be the best that they can be. I have a three year old son who likes to keep me busy and who makes my world complete and two little Cockapoos, who like to have cuddles and lots of walks. When I am not out walking with my family and dogs, I love to spend time listening to country music, reading and seeing my friends. I have always wanted to learn to play a musical instrument so if you see me in the Y5 Brass lessons that is why!

Mrs C Parkin |
Hello my name is Mrs Parkin and I am proud to say I am the Parent Support Advisor (PSA) at Wellgate. If I was to describe my-self in three words I would say loyal, kind and caring. My greatest achievements are my two boys, they make me very proud.
One of my favourite books is ‘We’re going on a Bear Hunt’, I have had the luxury of enjoying this book with both my children and acting out all the parts! Working in education is really fulfilling especially getting to work with children, seeing their potential and supporting them to reach their goals. I enjoy leaning fun facts and about different people. The hardest things I have ever accomplished would be my degree…and driving test! My children are the ones who inspire me every day. My star sign is Scorpio and my favourite sport to watch is football. Italy is one of my most favourite places I have visited; I hope to go back soon. I would not describe myself as musically minded but love all kinds of music (and a dance). My Favourite colour is blue and I have an older sister call Debra. I am looking forward to the year ahead at Wellgate! |
