Summary of Autumn 1

​The first half of Autumn term we have been studying hard.  Below is a small selection of what we have learnt about.

Geography – North America, settlements and trade
We’ve studied the countries of North America and its famous rivers and mountains.  We looked at different settlements and how countries trade.

Art – sketching and Monet
The unit was about how artists draw light, in particular Monet.  We sketched and used watercolour.

Maths – Fractions
We have spent a number of weeks trying to improve understanding of fractions

Writing – Diaries and Newspapers
*We have written letters complaining about the residential experience in Crater Lake
*We have written newspapers articles about an unusual event

Computing – Networks
*We have looked at how computers are networked together
*We recreated our Monet artwork using Paint 3D
