In Year 6 this term, children have been combining their computing and D&T learning to create fairground rides that are controlled by a computer program. In computing, children have been using Crumbles to explore the concept of selection in programming. They have used a microcontroller (Crumble ) and learned how to connect and program it to control components ( e.g. lights, motors, buzzers). The children then designed, wrote the code and then assembled a working model of a fairground ride. Starting to buildMaking shapeNearly finished and ready to testCompleted, checked and ready to ride
