Last week, the children and staff took part in an active session to raise funds for The British Heart Foundation in memory of one of our parents, Natalie Pell. nee. Senior, who unexpectedly passed away two years ago.
The children had a wonderful time exercising and thanks to your donations we raised an amazing £390 for the charity. Thank you so much for your kind donations. Yesterday, we said goodbye to Father Tim. We would like to thank him for the last five years of assemblies, St John’s visits and of course, the unforgettable zoom assemblies. For his last task at Wellgate, we asked him to officially open our much anticipated 'Dojo Shop.' We wish him good luck in his new role as Canon Precentor at Wells Cathedral in Somerset. Goodbye and good luck
We are so proud of our recent GOLD award for our dedication and work in school towards Anti-Bullying. Over the past year, we have made small yet significant changes to ensure our approach continues to support a culture where bullying is not tolerated. The children are able to confidently articulate the definition of bullying and what steps to take if they need to speak out.
Well done everyone! Thank you very much for your very generous donations towards Comic Relief. Your kindness meant that we raised a fantastic £328.35!
We have had a great time in school today seeing all of the incredible entries into this year's Decorated Egg Competition. The level of talent and creativity we have across school makes us all so proud. Take a look at some of the entries below. Thank you to everyone that entered - you did a fabulous job! Thank you Mother Emily for coming along to judge the competition. We hope you enjoyed it! Last half term, we enjoyed a careers event in school. We had lots of visitors who told us about their jobs, how they got into their jobs and the skills and qualities needed. It was a very informative morning and everyone had a great time. Young Voices was a huge success this year. Our choir enjoyed their annual trip to Young Voices. They worked incredibly hard all day and represented the school well. We hope anyone watching had an amazing time too. Today we say goodbye and good luck to our very own super hero, Mr Woodcock.
After over 12 years as part of our team, he has decided it is time to embark on new adventures. We wish him all the very best for the future. Lots of Love from Buzz Lightyear (Mr Hawley) and all of Team Wellgate. Last week the children really enjoyed their Christmas Dinner. Look at the smiles on their faces while wearing their festive outfits.
