Year 1 and Year 2 had a great Sports Day on Wednesday. The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a range of activities in the morning. They worked well in groups testing their skills of jumping, running, skipping, ball dribbling and many more. In the afternoon, the children took part in a sprint race and the egg and spoon race. The day began with assemblies first for our youngest children in Nursery, Foundation Stage 2 and Year 1 and then for our children in Years 2, 4 and 6. Later in the morning, the children in Year 3 worked with Mr Singh and then in the afternoon it was the turn of Year 5. The children were extremely keen and proud to share their own knowledge with Mr Singh. In return, he shared his knowledge and his Sikh beliefs. He introduced the 5 Ks to the children, taught them how to tie a turban and also how to count to ten in Gurmukhi! Can your child tell you any of the 5 Ks? Have a look at the fabulous photos to find out more.
