Year 1 and Year 2 had a great Sports Day on Wednesday. The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a range of activities in the morning. They worked well in groups testing their skills of jumping, running, skipping, ball dribbling and many more.
In the afternoon, the children took part in a sprint race and the egg and spoon race.
Well done to everyone for taking part!

LKS2 had a great sports day where they took part in lots of fun and exciting sporting activities. In the morning, the children completed a carousel of team sporting activities. These included dodgeball, kickball rounders, handball and bowling cricket. The children had a fantastic time competing.

In the afternoon, children took part in running races on the field with an amazing crowd of parents/carers watching on.
These races included a flat sprint, egg and spoon race and a potato (bean bag) race. All of the children gave it their best and had a wonderful time.

Take a look at some of the photos below to see the children of Year 3 and 4 in action!

Sikhism Workshop

Yesterday, all the children in school had a visit from Mr Singh from the Sikh Education Service.  The day began with assemblies first for our youngest children in Nursery, Foundation Stage 2 and Year 1 and then for our children in Years 2, 4 and 6.  Later in the morning, the children in Year 3 worked with Mr Singh and then in the afternoon it was the turn of Year 5. The children were extremely keen and proud to share their own knowledge with Mr Singh.  In return, he shared his knowledge and his Sikh beliefs.  He introduced the 5 Ks to the children, taught them how to tie a turban and also how to count to ten in Gurmukhi!  Can your child tell you any of the 5 Ks?  Have a look at the fabulous photos to find out more.
