Last half term the children of Year 3 shared their wonderful learning in an exciting action packed class assembly. The children loved sharing all of the exciting experiences, learning and work they have undertaken. It was super to learn about their thoughts on the Stone Age, to see their creations of Art work and to have the children teach everyone some marvelous Maths. What an outstanding assembly it was! Year 3 Twisted Tales

The children in Year 3 have worked hard this half term to write their own versions of Jack and the Beanstalk. They had to put themselves into the Giant's shoes and explain what really happened. Once they had finished their stories, the children visited the Year 1 and 2 classrooms to read their twisted tales to their audience. All the children wrote fantastic stories and really enjoyed sharing them with other children in school. Why not ask your child to tell you how they twisted their fairytale?

On Thursday 23rd March, Year 3 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The children had a fun filled day packed with lots of animals to see and even a rainforest workshop.
Picture
During the rainforest session, children were able to showcase their understanding of the Amazon Rainforest, its layers and the animals you would find in there. The children were amazing and the adults were really impressed with what they knew.
In between our rainforest sessions, we had lots of time to explore the park and see which different animals we could spot.
We even had chance to enjoy some playtime once we had finished our dinner.
We all had an excellent day and the children were fantastic throughout.

Year 3 Celebrate World Book Day

Year 3 had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day. They were lucky enough to listen to two different authors talk about their books and had the opportunity to ask them questions about how they became authors.

Throughout the day, they also enjoyed listening to stories read by all of the adults in Year 3. In the afternoon, we spent time talking about our favourite authors and books. The children created some amazing work to celebrate their choices.

We’d like to take the opportunity to say thank you to all the parents, carers, aunties, uncles and grandparents who supported with the fantastic costume making and providing. The children loved it and so did we.
