On Wednesday 19th May, Year 3 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The children had a fun filled day packed with lots of animals to see and even a rainforest workshop. During the rainforest session, children were able to showcase their understanding of the Amazon Rainforest, its layers and the animals you would find in there. The children were amazing and the adults were really impressed with what they knew. Then, it was time to get hands on! The children were able to look at some real artefacts from the rainforest, animal bones and were even lucky enough to handle some rainforest animals themselves. In between our rainforest sessions, we had lots of time to explore the park and see which different animals we could spot. We particularly enjoyed exploring the South America Viva where we saw a range of South American animals. We all had an excellent day and the children were fantastic throughout.
