Over the last two weeks, the children in Year One have worked very hard to prepare for their Class Assembly. They thoroughly enjoyed showcasing their efforts from the start of the year. We're sure you will agree that they have been learning lots since entering Year One. All staff in the Year One team are so proud of what they have all achieved and we look forward to seeing what is in store for the rest of the year. Well done Year One - you are amazing! 

Year One had a wonderful day celebrating World Book Day. They enjoyed reading the book 'Mad about Minibeasts' which introduced them to lots of different minibeasts through rhyming text. The children used this to inspire their own riddles about different minibeasts! In the afternoon, the children completed some art work based on the work of Brian Wildsmith. The children carefully created beautiful butterfly pictures using chalks. It was a very exciting day and they loved seeing each other's costumes too.
