Mrs K Richardson

​Hello, I am Mrs Richardson and I am proud to say that I am the Deputy Head and Senco of Wellgate Primary School. I have worked in our school since 2007 and have taught in most year groups, my favourite being Year 6. I love my job and feel privileged to work alongside the children and families of our school community, to help them to be the best that they can be. I have a three year old son who likes to keep me busy and who makes my world complete and two little Cockapoos, who like to have cuddles and lots of walks. When I am not out walking with my family and dogs, I love to spend time listening to country music, reading and seeing my friends. I have always wanted to learn to play a musical instrument so if you see me in the Y5 Brass lessons that is why!

Mrs S Belt

Hello!  I am Mrs Belt and I am one of the teachers in the Marvellous Minibeasts. I have been teaching for a very long time but have been at Wellgate for eight years.  Early Years is my favourite place in school and I love seeing our youngest children grow to be confident, independent and resilient learners.  Helping young children learn to make sense of letters and sounds and become readers is one of the most amazing things about our job.  I have one daughter who is at university and she makes me proud every day.  We love to go out and about especially for coffee and cake.  If I’m ever missing, I will probably be near the sea eating Raspberry Ripple ice cream.  I have a season ticket to watch Leeds Rhinos and get especially excited when they win.  When I am not watching rugby, I love to sing in a choir and over the last few years have learned to crochet. I would like to learn more about the Welsh language as it was my grandad’s first language. I can speak a little but not as much as I would like. Diolch yn fawr!

Mrs J Woodcock

 I thoroughly enjoy my job as a teacher. I love seeing lightbulb moments in the children that I teach, sharing knowledge with them and supporting them in their learning. I’m thoughtful, hardworking and determined and I believe that all these qualities support me in my role.
I have two young boys who I’m incredibly proud of – I absolutely love being a mum! In my spare time, I enjoy exploring new places with my family, playing games and eating. My absolute favourite food in the whole wide world is pizza and my favourite type of ice-cream is Ben and Jerry’s Cookie Dough.
I would love to be able to speak a different language fluently or play a musical instrument. My life is incredibly busy at the moment but one day hopefully I’ll have the time to achieve one of these things.
