On Wednesday 25th June, our brilliant Year 5 pupils took centre stage at the Metrodome to perform in their long-awaited brass concert – and what an incredible event it was!
Since September, the children have been taking part in weekly brass lessons, learning to play instruments such as the trumpet, trombone and baritone. Over the months, their confidence, technique and teamwork have grown tremendously – and it all came together in this fantastic final performance. The concert was a true celebration of their musical journey. Performing in a professional venue like the Metrodome was a huge moment for the children, and they rose to the occasion beautifully. With toe-tapping tunes and well-rehearsed group pieces, the audience was treated to an afternoon full of energy, rhythm and joy. We are incredibly proud of the dedication and enthusiasm every child has shown throughout the year. A special thank you goes to our wonderful brass teacher (Mr Smith) for inspiring and guiding the children every step of the way. Finally, a massive thank you to all the parents and carers who came along to support. Your encouragement and applause meant the world to the children – and helped make the day truly memorable. Well done, Year 5 – you were brass-tastic! 👏🎶
