This week, the children continued their learning about online safety. They read the story of Hanni and the Magic Window and discussed what they would do if they saw something online that upset them. The children then designed their own magic window.

This afternoon, 2BS took part in their brilliant class assembly. The children thoroughly enjoyed sharing all of their work about the Great Fire of London and The Great Outdoors. Take a look at the exciting photos below. 2PN enjoyed sharing some of their learning with Parents and Carers this morning. The children have worked so hard since September and this is evident in the learning they complete. The children enjoyed reading their writing, showing their art work, sharing their science knowledge and singing. Well done Class 5! This afternoon, Year Two had a wonderful Christmas Party. They played many games including Musical Statues, Pass the Parcel and even Sleeping Lions! Take a look at some photos below: Year 2 loved wearing their Christmas jumpers today as part of Christmas Dinner day. Thank you to our wonderful kitchen staff for the delicious food and party hats. Our very talented children in Year Two were amazing this week during their Christmas performances of ‘Prickly Hay’. They wowed their audiences with their wonderful singing, acting and dancing – we are incredibly proud of them all. Today, the children have enjoyed coming to school in non-uniform to support Children in Need. We are very grateful for the donations sent.
On Monday, the children enjoyed coming to school in their odd socks to show support for Anti-Bullying Week. This was to highlight that difference should be celebrated. Yesterday, the children completed their own handprint filled with things special to them. This allowed them to see how different their peers are too. The children know the importance of 'Reaching Out' to a trusted adult if they know of bullying taking place.
This week, Year 2 enjoyed writing their own set of instructions about how to create a Jack-O-Lantern. They started by identifying verbs before using their knowledge of this to instruct each other to carve a pumpkin. The children loved this! |
