World Book Day 2025

World Book Day was full of excitement in Year 1 as the children dived into the world of Mad About Minibeasts! They loved exploring the vibrant illustrations and learning fascinating facts about all sorts of tiny creatures. Inspired by the book, they put their thinking caps on and created their own minibeast riddles, challenging their friends to guess which insect or creepy-crawly they were describing.
The creativity didn’t stop there! The children also made beautiful coffee filter butterflies, using bright colours to bring their winged creations to life. It was a fantastic way to combine art with their love for books.
To end the day in the best way possible, they snuggled up for a cosy reading session, sipping on delicious chocolate milkshakes while sharing their favourite stories. It was a magical celebration of books, creativity and the joy of reading!
