The children in Year 1 have made a fantastic start to the new school year! They have settled in wonderfully, quickly adjusting to their new routines and enjoying the exciting learning opportunities within their new provision. It has been a joy to see them exploring the classroom with enthusiasm and curiosity, engaging in a range of hands-on activities designed to support their development. One of the highlights of the term so far has been watching the children build strong friendships and develop their social skills. Through group activities, partner work, and play-based learning, they are learning how to take turns, share resources and collaborate with their peers. It is lovely to see their confidence growing as they engage in meaningful conversations and work together to solve problems. The children have also been applying and embedding key skills across different areas of learning including maths, writing and fine motor skills. Oracy skills are flourishing as they take part in discussions, share their ideas, and practise speaking in full sentences. Teamwork is at the heart of many activities, encouraging children to listen to each other and support one another as they learn. It has been a wonderful start to the year, and we are incredibly proud of how well the children have settled into Year 1. We look forward to seeing them continue to grow, learn and thrive over the coming months!
