Year 1 had a fantastic day out at Cannon Hall Farm, where they enjoyed a fun-filled and educational experience exploring the world of animals! The children began their adventure with a guided tour of the farm, where they learnt fascinating facts about a wide variety of animals including pigs, horses, cows, goats and even reindeer! The children were amazed by how much there was to discover and asked lots of brilliant questions. A highlight of the day was visiting the roundhouse, where they met many sheep and their adorable lambs. The children were fascinated to see them up close. They also explored the mammal house, discovering a range of nocturnal animals and learning about how these creatures live and thrive in the dark. The trip wouldn’t have been complete without a visit to the reptile house, where everyone enjoyed seeing snakes, lizards and other cold-blooded creatures up close. Despite the very hot weather, the children were absolute stars throughout the trip. They represented the school wonderfully and were excellent ambassadors, showing kindness, curiosity and impeccable behaviour all day long. Well done, Year 1 — what a brilliant day!
