At Wellgate, the children had a wonderful time learning about the significance of VE Day and why it is such an important moment in history. Through engaging activities, they explored the meaning behind the day and the impact it had on people’s lives. To mark the occasion, the children enjoyed a fun-filled 'street party' style celebration, complete with music and traditional treats. It was a joyful way to honour the day and reflect on the themes of peace and community. A big well done to all the children for taking part so enthusiastically in the activities – it was a day to remember! Thank you to all parents and carers for the generous donations of cakes and buns.
