The children in Foundation 2 had a wonderful day at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. They explored the bronze art work of Henry Moore, the mosaic art of Marialuisa Tadei and watched the changing skies of 'The Deer Shelter' by James Turrell. They also became 'Little Wonders' as they thought about what the artists might have been thinking about when they made their sculptures and considered the materials and textures that they saw. They had an amazing workshop exploring different kinds of sculpture and creating their very own works of art from everything you can think of; coal, clay, junk and even lycra! Thank you to all the adults who came along to help us.
