Today we had lots of fun learning all about Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake Day! The highlight of the day was our pancake tasting activity. The children had the chance to try pancakes with a range of different toppings, including sweet and fruity choices. We talked about how the pancakes tasted and used describing words like sweet, sour, and sticky! We had a fantastic Pancake Day full of learning, fun, and very sticky fingers!

This week in Reception, the children have been enjoying learning about Arctic and Antarctic animals as part of their understanding of the world. The topic has sparked lots of curiosity and discussion, as children explored cold, icy environments and the animals that live there. The children had the opportunity to create their own habitats for the Polar animals. |
