This week in Foundation Stage 1 we have been learning about different occupations. We have enjoyed talking about what we would like to be when we are older and how to 'believe in our dreams and goals'. We have been so lucky to have a Speech and Language Therapist in to talk about their job and learn all about it through playing some fun games!

Wow! What an absolutely fabulous week of growing and learning in FS1!
We have loved exploring mixing colours in so many exciting and different ways. The children have been learning how to talk to their friends about their learning, including standing up and speaking to an audience. The children have also developed their understanding of what makes a good friend and have been very supportive and kind to each other. There have been so many good role-models that our pebble jar is now full! The FS1 staff team are so proud of the independence, teamwork, predicting, curiosity and ‘growth’ of all our amazing Nursery children!

Fabulous fun in FS1

Wow! FS1 have had a super exciting half term. We had a special delivery of caterpillars and we loved looking after them, watching them change, then releasing them outside. We have continued our learning about healthy eating and had a special visitor come to talk to us about his job as a chef. We have loved growing and eating our own strawberries, made ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ fruit kebabs and tried other food from the story for our special snack.

The children in Foundation 1 have had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day.
We had a fabulous time showing off our costumes and talking about our favourite books.  We have enjoyed lots of stories  throughout the day, including 'We're going on a Bear Hunt' - Michael Rosen.
