Welcome to Class 4CH - Team Perfect
As part of our class, we believe that we should all be included so that we can learn and show our talents together. We all have the right to learn and to be respected. We will always persevere and never give in even when the going gets tough. We will listen carefully and always do our best.

Meet the Team

Mr Hawley - Class Teacher

Hello, my name is Mr Hawley and I am pleased to say that I have the honour of teaching Team Perfect this year.  I have been teaching for 16 years and have worked in a number of schools in Kirklees and Barnsley. I have taught at Wellgate for the past 7 years, and I love to see the look on a pupil’s face when they realise they can do something. I’m a bit of a lively character and love to laugh and share jokes with my class.
I have two children who are currently at high school. They both play sport and I like to watch them achieve. I also like to play football and cricket with my friends as well as going to watch the Super Reds at Oakwell. I have a really sweet tooth and love to indulge in Ice-cream and chocolate.
I love to learn about things from the past including key events and prominent figures. To date my greatest achievement is being a parent which is still a work in progress as all parents know.

Mrs Bedford - Teaching Assistant

I’m incredibly organised and determined – this helps me thoroughly in my role as a teaching assistant. I’ve worked hard to achieve the qualifications that I have and that is something that I’m really proud of – I’m able to share my work ethic and thirst for knowledge with the children which I work with whilst supporting them in being successful in their learning. I really enjoy seeing children achieve their milestones.
I love reading and being with my family. I would really like to learn more about science and one day, I would really like to be able to speak Spanish. I think Manchester is an exciting city and if my family weren’t close by, that is somewhere I would like to live.
My favourite ice-cream flavour is chocolate and I love eating this when I visit the cinema.

Mrs Eaton - Teaching Assistant
I absolutely love my job – it brings a smile to my face every single day. I love working with children and supporting them in everything that they do. I’m often told that I’m an incredibly kind and caring person and I believe that this helps me in the job that I do.
I have two daughters who I’m incredibly proud of. I love spending time with them and my husband in Scotland which is my favourite place on the planet and it also sells the most amazing ice – cream (Cream O’Galloway Chocolate Orange).
I didn’t used to enjoy doing maths but Mrs Woodcock has changed that and I absolutely love it now. I really enjoy supporting children in their maths learning – especially those who find it tricky as I understand how they might be feeling.
My favourite ever children’s book is ‘Peace At Last’ which is about a family of bears.
