Hello, my name is Mr Steeples and I am lucky to be teaching in Year Two this year. I have worked at Wellgate for 7 years and this is my sixth year in Year Two. I am looking forward to watching the children grow throughout the year as they continue their learning journey. One of the most rewarding things about being a teacher is getting to witness those “lightbulb moments.” The moment when something clicks and your pupil finally understands a concept. I enjoy learning new teaching techniques and strategies that I can use within the classroom. My favourite hobby is going to watch Barnsley FC at Oakwell with my family. I also enjoy going to the cinema or theatre with my friends. If I could live anywhere in the world, I would love to live in Orlando and have an annual pass to Walt Disneyworld.

Miss Turner - Teaching Assistant
Hello, my name is Miss Turner and I am one of the Teaching Assistants in Year Two. I love working in Year Two because of the determination of the children. There is nothing more rewarding than supporting a child and them being successful. I am most proud of my two children. I love stationery and enjoy buying new pens and pencils! I cannot wait to spend another year in Year Two working with such enthusiastic children.
