WELLGATE PRIMARY SCHOOL COUNCIL

WELLGATE PRIMARY SCHOOL COUNCIL was set up in November 2004 to provide pupils with an opportunity to influence the development and running of the school and its environment. School Council is now in its fourth year and continues to be very successful.  School Council representatives have been elected by their classes and were presented with their school council badges.

In the four years School Council has been active they have achieved a great deal, including new fencing for the top playground, equipment such as skipping ropes and balls for use at playtime and dinnertime and football nets.

Fundraising events organised by the School Council have included a very successful Treasure Hunt which raised a substantial amount thanks to the generous support of parents and buns sales in aid of Children in Need.
