School Council
At Wellgate Primary we have a very proactive School Council. All Classes from Year 1 to Year 6 select 1 Class Council representative each year. These Class Council representatives attend regular School Council Meetings, presenting and representing their fellow classmates. The School Council are thoroughly integrated into whole school decision making.
In order to be on the School Council, pupils have to do a short presentation to the rest of their class about why they think they would be an excellent representative and what they would like to improve and change about our school. All the classes have a secret vote before the winning two are declared.
We meet every Friday morning to discuss any issues raised within the classes and the latest item on our agenda.
